If your horse demonstrates any of the following characteristics, it may indicate increased restlessness:

  • Box walking or other restless behaviour in stables

  • Unwanted behaviours when tacking up or being ridden

  • Poor performance at competitions, when they usually perform well at other times

  • Unsociable behaviours towards people or other animals

Why Should I See My Vet?

At VetPlus we believe vets are best placed to advise the best course of action for your pet. Because of the way people have bred horses, behavioural problems and anxiety are very common. If your horse seems extra restless or you need advice on your horse, it can be helpful to talk to your vet. Your vet will be able to perform checks to ensure they’re healthy.

Next Steps

Our products are only available through veterinary practices. To find your closest vet practice stockist, please contact us.

What Else Can I Do?

Your vet may recommend a few key strategies to help your horse improve their composure and live happily together. Lots of owners find it’s useful to use a combination of:

  • Behavioural techniques

  • Environmental changes

  • Supportive Nutritional Supplements

It is important to remember that managing behavioural issues can take a long time and patience so do not lose heart if the problems do not disappear immediately.
